Setting Up Your NT Loop For Optimal Use

The NT Loop was designed to be a more comfortable resistance band solution for exercises where the band makes contact with the body. The videos below illustrate when it’s best to use a superband and when it’s best to use your NT Loop, and how to do so comfortably. It’s important to remember that both types of exercise bands are not in competition, but rather complementary to each other.

How To Anchor Your NT Loop

Due to its versatility, the NT Loop can be used for countless exercises with or without being anchored to a stable object. However, when anchoring your NT Loop, it’s important to ensure that it’s done correctly to maximize effectiveness and reduce the chance of preventable, accidental injury. Below you will find the only 4 ways we recommend you anchor your NT Loop.

Safety Guidelines And Considerations

When using resistance bands, minimizing training-related injury risk isn’t just about good exercise technique and avoiding overdoing it; it’s also about being aware of these basic safety guidelines to ensure your band workout doesn’t result in a preventable, accidental injury.

It is strongly recommended that you follow all instructions below before and while using the NT Loops:

  • Do not use if allergic to latex. This product contains rubber from LATEX.
  • Do not lean or hang on the NT Loop in such a way that it is supporting your partial or bodyweight.
  • Do not use the NT Loop if there is any tearing or ripping of the material.
  • Do not wrap the NT Loop around any sharp or jagged objects. (See above video on The Single and Double Wrap Techniques)
  • Do not stretch the NT Loop past its limit stopping point at 2 to 2.5 times its original length.
  • Do not use the NT Loop as a suspension strap.
  • Do not pull the NT Loop towards your face.
  • Do not lean on the NT Loop in such a way that it is supporting your partial or entire body weight. (Injury incidents can occur if the user falls because the resistance band breaks while supporting their weight.)
  • When standing on the band to perform an exercise such as biceps curls, place the band underneath the center of the foot. If the band is positioned toward the front or back of the foot, it is more likely to slip out from underneath the feet and snap upwards at the user.
  • Do not place the front or back of the NT Loop label area against your body during use. (See above video on Using Your NT Loop Comfortably)
  • If anchoring the NT Loop, make sure to check the anchor is stable and secure before use. (Injury incidents can occur if the band pulls the anchor object onto the user.)
  • When anchoring to a door, only place the anchor strap portion of the NT Loop inside the hinge side of the door, and make sure you’re pulling the door closed. (See above video on Using the NT Loop Door Anchor)
  • Do not stretch the NT Loop with someone holding the other end unless the NT Loop is held securely around the wrist, arm, torso or legs of both individuals. (See above videos on Partner Band Safety and Row Holding Instructions)
  • Never release the NT Loop while under tension with someone holding onto or nearby the other end.
